Every investigator and law enforcement officer must understand that an interview is fundamentally a conversation with a purpose. It's two primary goals being to collect information free from bias; and produce factual and accurate information.


Upon completion of the session, you will be able to: 

  1. State the two main goals of an interview.
  2. Identify the personal attributes of the successful interviewer.
  3. Identify human relation and interpersonal skills. 
  4. Identify the elements of planning and preparing for the interview.
  5. List the three steps of the interview.
  6. State the two interview examination types.
  7. Identify proper and improper questioning techniques.

The purpose of the course is to educate investigators on how beneficial ownership and control can be misused for illicit purposes such as money laundering tax evasion terrorism financing and other financial crimes.
